Cholsey Brook and tributaries Projects

We do not know of any projects planned for this water body particularly in relation to improvements to the stream, monitoring of the wataer quality or Riverfly populations, or surveys of mammals or amphibians but if you have any suggestions then we would be very pleased if you could make contact via the 'Who are we?' button above.

There are however a number of ecological opportunities within the catchment:

  1. Thames Water’s Cholsey sewage treatment works is a point source discharge for nitrogen and phosphorous to the system.

  2. The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) have a Nature Reserve at Cholsey Marsh that provides a home to a range of plants, insects and birds that depend on a wet reed beds habitat to flourish.
