  1. 2, 3, & 4, Maintenance - At several locations along the length of the Brook the removal of Stop Logs blocking the channel together with selective coppicing to allow in light and the introduction of large woody debris to parts of the river bed to promote turbulence to expose the gravel river bed for fish to spawn.
  1. & 6. Monitoring - The Environment Agency have designated most of the catchment as the Sulham Brook Surface Water Nitrate Vulnerable Zone (NVZ). They have two monitoring points along the length of the Brook the results of which show that the greatest pollution load is from nitrogen compounds of agricultural origin.
